Our practice offers interdisciplinary design services, including architectural design, interior design and landscape design. The typical process for a design project is as follows:
PROCESS
Project Qualification
This stage assesses the basic information of the incoming project provided by the project owner. To be qualified, the project must align with our requirements in terms of size, budget and aesthetic direction.
Brief and Contract Establishment
In this stage, the project owner presents the preliminary program for the development. Our team assists in refining this into a more detailed project brief. Once the brief is established, we will propose our design fee and contract.
Concept Design
This stage involves preliminary planning of the required program and establishing the visual aesthetic of the project.
Design Development
This stage generates visual imagery of the project, demonstrating the functionality and materiality of the spaces. It also involves ongoing discussions between the project owner and our team in order to fine-tune and finalise the design.
Documentation
This stage translates the final design into 2D construction drawings. Material selections will also be presented and confirmed in this stage.
Construction
This stage involves construction of the project by the owner’s chosen contractor(s). For most projects, this stage usually takes the longest period of time.
Loose Furniture and Object Procurement
This is the final stage of our service and completes the project. Once all items are delivered and installed, we will arrange a photography session to document our work. The project owner’s personal information and the exact location of the project will remain confidential unless explicit permission is granted.
